| Historical Performance
& Future Outlook |
Until the late 1970’s
Afghanistan was a country with sound economic values. With the Russian
invasion and the rule of the Taliban in the last decade the economy and
environment has suffered greatly. Due to the fact that there have been no
authorized international bodies operating in Afghanistan there are no hard
facts to ascertain historical performance. The future outlook is different
in the sense that foreign countries have committed and pledged funds to
reconstruct and restore the infrastructure of the country. Aid Organizations
are involved in assisting rural and urban citizens with welfare, food and
health projects. |

| Economic Impact | The economic impact will
include a lower consumer price in the products manufactured by ABI which
will replace imported products thus addressing the affordability issue, the
direct employment of 350 locals, the indirect opportunities of 5,000 jobs
which will result from the industry’s multiplier effect and the much
overlooked positive effect of contributing in the development of a skilled workforce. |
